How do I add comprehensive to my car insurance policy?

How do I add comprehensive? I want to protect my new car from damage. I will be adding my car to my existing policy, but I only have liability insurance.

“If you’d like to add comprehensive insurance to your current car insurance policy, you’ll want to contact your carrier.
Since comprehensive and collision insurance are optional coverages, you will have to specifically add it to your policy online or through an agent.
Keep in mind that your rate will increase.
Depending on how much you can afford for insurance, you may need to shop around. Once you know how much it’ll cost to add comprehensive to your current policy, you can request car insurance quotes with other companies and compare.
Using the free Jerry app, you may be able to find a carrier that will offer lower rates for more coverage.”
