How do I add an interested party to my Progressive renters insurance?

I currently use Progressive for my renters insurance. As a part of my new lease agreement, my landlord has asked me to list her as an interested party on my policy. How do I list her as an interested party on my Progressive renters policy?

We’re glad you asked! It’s extremely common for landlords to be listed as interested parties on their tenants’
renters policies
.
Adding an interested party to your Progressive renters policy is pretty easy. You will just need to provide them with the name, email, and physical address of the person you’re adding as an interested party. This can be done through their app, website, or phone call at 1-866-749-7436.
It sounds like your
landlord requires
renters insurance as a part of the lease agreement—which is super common. As an interested party, they will be notified of any changes or cancellations you make to your Progressive policy.
Interested parties can also be known as “third-party designees” or “additional interested.” So, if you see those terms thrown around as well, just know that they all mean the same thing! Your landlord just wants to be kept in the loop about your policy.
But if Progressive is no longer your insurer of choice and you’re hesitant to
switch plans or insurance providers
because you’re worried about the work involved, don’t be.
