How do I add a car to my current car insurance?

I'm planning on buying a new car this weekend. Can't wait! I know it needs its own insurance, so how do I add another car to my current car insurance?

Congrats on your new vehicle!
Good news—adding a new car to your current insurance is quick and easy.
To add your new car, call your insurance provider to update your policy or update your information on your provider’s mobile app. You’ll need some information to get it registered, including:
  • Your insurance policy number
  • The make, model, and year of your new vehicle
  • The car’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
Be aware that adding a vehicle is likely to raise your policy rates. However, there are ways to save by having multiple cars on the same policy. In fact, having
a multi-car insurance policy
is usually cheaper than having two separate plans.
If your rates are still too high, consider switching providers. Insurance broker app

can help by providing you up to 50 quotes in a matter of minutes. Once you make your choice, Jerry does all the rest—including canceling your old policy!
