How can I turn off the maintenance light on my Honda Civic?
I got my oil changed about a week ago and the maintenance light won’t shut off. I brought it back to the mechanic yesterday just to be sure there was nothing wrong and the light still won’t shut off. How can I get rid of the maintenance light on my Honda Civic?

Persistent maintenance lights can be aggravating, especially when you’ve just gotten your car serviced. But don’t worry, you won’t be stuck with it forever. To get rid of the maintenance light on your Honda Civic, follow these steps:
- Turn your car on without starting the engine to put your car in accessory mode.
- Depending on your model, you will either press the Select/Reset button or knob located on your steering wheel or dashboard.
- Find Engine Oil Life or Engine Indicator % in the options displayed, or by pressing the knob repeatedly.
- Press and hold the Select/Reset button until the oil indicator begins to flash.
- Press the Info button on the steering wheel, then press Select/Reset to reset your maintenance light.
