How can I set up Apple CarPlay in a BMW?
My friend was telling me how convenient Apple CarPlay is, but I’ve never used it before. I want to start using it, but how do I set up Apple CarPlay in a BMW with iDrive 6?

To set up Apple CarPlay in your BMW with iDrive 6, you should:
- Go to Settings, open the Communication menu, and then select Manage mobile devices on your car’s display screen.
- Select Connect new device and then Apple CarPlay. The vehicle ID should now be displayed.
- On your iPhone, go to Settings, General, and then CarPlay.
- Select your car from the Available cars list on your phone by matching the vehicle ID.
- Wait a minute or two for your phone and vehicle to establish a connection.
- Select Pair and Allow when prompted on your phone.
