How can I remove the door trim on a Honda Civic?

I hit a huge pothole the other day and spilled my coffee all over my car door. I got most of it cleaned up, but I think a lot of it seeped in through my door’s trim. Is there any way I can remove the door trim on my Honda Civic?

I’m sorry to hear that you’re dealing with such a big mess! Luckily, removing the door trim on your Honda Civic is fairly simple to do. You will need a Philips head screwdriver and a flathead screwdriver to get started.
  1. Remove the screws inside of the door handle and pull the handle out of its housing. With your flathead screwdriver, pry out the plastic panel.
  2. Pry off the window switch and unplug the electrical components.
  3. Use your flathead screwdriver to pry out the door panel. Begin with the lower corners and move across carefully.
  4. Lift the door panel out of place.
While you’re taking the time to remove and thoroughly clean your door trim, take some time to clean up your
