How can I order a new car from the factory?
I’m in the market for a new car for my wife, and she has a lot of specifications and features she would like, but I just can’t seem to find a car that has them all. Is there a way I can order a custom-made vehicle straight from the factory?

Great question! Ordering a factory vehicle can cost a lot, but it’s the best way to get exactly what you want. To order a new car from the factory, just follow these steps:
- Pick a car and make your list of specifications. Your options for factory customization will vary from car to car, so it’s important to pick a vehicle that can accommodate your requests. Generally, American manufacturers tend to offer more options than others, so you may want to look within the U.S. for your wife’s new ride. Once you’ve chosen your car, assemble a list of your desired customizations and check that they are available on the manufacturer’s website.
- Visit a dealership that sells the type of car you want. Since you cannot order directly from the factory, a salesperson at yourdealershipof choice will be able to facilitate your requests. Give them your list of customizations, settle on a price, place your order, and wait for your car to come in. This can take more than 12 weeks, depending on the manufacturer, so make sure you’re prepared to wait!
