How can I get car insurance for one day?

I just need it temporarily while I borrow a car from a cousin. I don't want to shell out for a full policy.

one day car insurance
.
If you’re borrowing a car, you should check with the owner. If they have insurance, you may be covered by their policy since they are agreeing to let you borrow the car. If, however, the owner wants you to have your own insurance, you have a few options.
One option is to consider getting a
non owners car insurance
 policy. Non-owners policies are attached to you as a driver, so you aren’t required to list a specific vehicle.
Another option is to shop around. You may be able find a few companies that will offer a temporary policy, though it may be for longer than a day.
