add a car
to your current insurance policy by calling your provider or making the change in your online account.You will need to provide information about the car, such as:
- The vehicle identification number (VIN)
- The car’s make and model
- The license plate number
- Your current auto policy number
You should also ask your insurance provider if they offer multi-car discounts. Oftentimes, when you insure two cars on the same policy, your insurance company will thank you for your business by offering a discounted rate on both cars.
