Does USAA renters insurance cover flood damage?

I am a veteran who rents a condo in Florida. I just got USAA renters insurance. I’m curious—am I covered for flood damage?

It’s good you’re being proactive about your insurance—you don’t want to find out you’re not covered after an incident. The good news is,
USAA
renters insurance typically covers flood damage.
Renters insurance
protects your possessions—plus provides personal liability—when you are living in a rental. You’ll be covered for any peril named on your policy. Named perils are always sudden, unexpected events that can cause damage or losses—like a fire, storm, or theft.
Many policies do not cover flood damage. USAA, however, does cover its renters against flood damage. If anything is damaged after a flood, all you need to do is file a claim to get reimbursed.
