Does the Dodge Durango have good fuel efficiency?

Is the Dodge Durango's fuel efficiency any good? I like that SUV's look and plan on getting new wheels. Would a Durango work well for someone on the road a lot?

In short, no. The
Dodge Durango
fuel efficiency is one of the worst on the road. The monstrosity of fuel consumption burns a near-criminal 5.9 gallons of gas every 100 miles.
Before you try that math, it translates to 17 mpg combine, 14 mpg city, and 22 mpg highway. The average fuel economy for SUVs is 23 mpg combined, so the Durango is about a third less efficient than it should be. That’s going to add up pretty quickly at the gas pump!
If you are looking for a fuel-efficient SUV, try the
Ford Escape Hybrid
. It boasts an impressive 41 mpg!
