Does Rhode Island offer an electric vehicle rebate?

Can I get a rebate for buying an electric vehicle in Rhode Island? I know that some states offer things like that, but I’m not sure if Rhode Island is one of them.

Absolutely!
Rhode Island
has just announced its intent to offer an electric vehicle rebate of up to $2,500 for fully electric vehicles purchased at a Rhode Island dealership. They also plan to offer a rebate of $1,500 for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
The electric vehicle rebate is actually a newer practice in Rhode Island; in fact, it was announced in May of 2022 and is being implemented this summer. If you’re hoping to score some cash from the rebate, it’s a good idea to wait for a couple of months until any problems with the new program have been ironed out.
