Does my credit score impact my car insurance rates?

I've been with my current insurance carrier for five years. My credit score has increased significantly since I first applied. Can I ask my car insurance to re-run my rate for me with my current credit score?

Answer
“In some states, credit score is one of many factors that car insurance carriers look at. Age, driving record, and even where you live all have an impact on your rate.
If you’re curious about your current rate, reach out to your carrier! They may be able to re-rate your policy or find additional discounts for you.
You can also shop around. Finding cheap car insurance isn’t impossible. By requesting car insurance quotes online, you’ll be able to see what a variety of carriers are charging and what the most affordable option for you is.
