, you will need to have a letter from a certified mechanic verifying the repairs and the vehicle’s safety. But if the car still holds a salvage title, you won’t be able to get insurance from any reputable provider, as salvage cars are illegal to drive.
The car you’re considering was likely given a salvage title after an accident that declared it a total loss, meaning the repair costs were higher than the vehicle’s value.
