Does a Toyota warranty transfer to a second owner?

I want to sell my current Toyota vehicle and buy a new one. However, I want to sell the car privately to maximize my return rather than trade the car in. I also know that I can get a higher price if the car still has a warranty. Will a Toyota warranty transfer to a new owner?

If you want to sell your car, the
Toyota
warranty does transfer to a second owner at no cost to you. All you need to do is call the dealership where you purchased the vehicle and tell them you intend to sell the car. They should take care of the rest!
The only caveat for transferring your warranty is that your car must still be under warranty. This means that the basic warranty will only transfer if you’ve owned your car for less than 3 years or have driven less than 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The same goes for the powertrain warranty of 5 years/60,000 miles.
While you’re shopping around for a new car, you may as well shop around for an affordable car insurance policy at the same time. That’s when the
