Does a 2010 MINI Cooper have Bluetooth?

My husband and I are looking at used Mini Coopers as a potential back-up car for our family. It doesn’t have to be fancy, but we would prefer it to have some basic modern features, particularly when it comes to Bluetooth/hands-free calling. We found a 2010i Cooper at a great price, but I’m worried it’s just a little too dated for our needs. Does a 2010 Mini Cooper even have Bluetooth?

While older models of the
MINI Cooper
may not have the same technical specs as their more recent counterparts, the good news is many of them do have Bluetooth. Bluetooth syncing was introduced to certain Mini Cooper models as early as 2005—and became a standard feature in most MINI models by 2014.
That being said, not every 2010 Cooper comes Bluetooth-compatible. Before the standardization of Bluetooth inclusion in 2014, MINI drivers had to pay extra to add Bluetooth to their Cooper model, as it was only available as an optional feature.
When looking at used 2010 Coopers, you should be able to find a list of included features—which usually lets you know whether or not that specific car is equipped with Bluetooth’s hands-free calling and audio streaming capabilities. While you’re at it, it’s also a good idea to get a copy of the
vehicle’s history
and don’t forget to find a
car insurance policy
that’s right for your second-hand vehicle!
