What color should my CVT transmission fluid be?
I recently bought a new Kia and I want to stay on top of the maintenance for it. I just checked the transmission fluid, but I didn’t know that it had a CVT transmission, so I’m a little confused. What color should my CVT transmission fluid be?

Depending on the CVT transmission fluid currently in your vehicle, you should see a translucent fluid, or a light pink/red fluid.
Generally, if you come across any other colors or consistencies in your transmission fluid, you should have the fluid replaced.
More specifically, if your transmission fluid is yellow, brown, cloudy, or foamy, it’s time to change the fluid.
