How do you delete a Bluetooth device from a 2016 Honda HR-V?

I had to purchase a new phone recently and would like to delete my old phone from my 2016 Honda HR-V’s Bluetooth library, but I’m not sure what to do—how do you delete a Bluetooth device from a 2016 Honda HR-V?

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with this! If you’ve never had to do it before, deleting a previously paired Bluetooth device from your 2016 Honda HR-V can be a bit tricky to figure out. Fortunately, the process itself is pretty easy—all you have to do is follow the steps listed below:
  1. Press the “✆” button (on the steering wheel) or the “🕻” button (on the center console).
  2. Rotate the multimedia dial to select “Phone Setup” and press the dial’s middle button.
  3. Turn the dial to select “Bluetooth Setup” and press the dial’s middle button.
  4. Rotate the dial to select “Delete Device” and press the dial’s middle button. The screen will then display a list of all paired devices.
  5. Use the dial to select the device you wish to delete and then press the dial’s middle button.
  6. The screen will then change to show a message asking you to confirm the device’s deletion—turn the dial to select “Yes” and then press the dial’s middle button.
And that’s it! As long as you follow these instructions carefully, you should have no trouble deleting a previously paired device from your 2016 Honda HR’V’s Bluetooth library—just keep in mind that, like when connecting a device, deleting a device is only possible when the vehicle is not moving.
