Do electric cars heat up faster than gas?
I want to buy an electric car in order to be more eco-friendly, but I have concerns as I live in an area with very cold winters. There’s nothing worse to me than spending those agonizing few minutes on a winter morning waiting for my car to heat up. Is this the case with electric cars as well?

One of the great things about an
electric car
is that you can heat things up quickly, and you don’t even have to idle an engine to do so. In some ways, gas-powered cars have a slight advantage over electric cars
in the cold
because the engine itself generates a lot of heat internally. The heat generated from the combustion engine helps heat the interior, and can even melt snow and ice off of the outside of the car. However, electric cars have the ability to heat the cabin of the car and use heated accessories such as heated seats or a heated steering wheel without even needing to turn on the motor. In some models, you can even heat up your car remotely while it’s still plugged in, making the cabin nice and toasty without draining your battery.
