Can you flat tow a Jeep Wagoneer?

I just bought a brand-new Jeep Wagoneer, and I’ve never been more excited about a new car. However, I foolishly forgot to ask the salesperson if I could pull it behind my motorhome before I signed the paperwork. Is it possible to flat tow a Jeep Wagoneer?

Congrats on your new Jeep! Yes, you can flat tow a new Jeep Wagoneer as long as it has four-wheel-drive and a two-speed transfer case. If your Wagoneer comes equipped with these additional options, just set the transfer case to neutral, and away you go!
However, if you have the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) version, it’s not as easy. The RWD Wagoneer cannot be flat towed, as it may damage the transmission and drivetrain. Instead, you’ll need to buy a flatbed trailer to tow it behind a motorhome or RV.
The Jeep Wagoneer is one of the more expensive vehicles to roll off the Jeep assembly line. So make sure you protect your investment by getting a great insurance policy through the
