Can you flat tow a Ford Fusion?
I jumped on a sweet end-of-the-summer deal on an RV and I want to take it out while there’s still a little warm weather left. I just don’t know if I can bring my car without someone driving it separately. Can you flat tow a Ford Fusion?

There’s nothing quite like an RV discount at the end of the season! You can flat tow certain Ford Fusions, but the circumstances vary by model year. Here’s what you need to know.
You can flat tow these Ford Fusion models:
- 2007 to 2012: Fusions with a manual transmission
- 2010 and 2011: All Fusions, regardless of the transmission
- 2017 to 2020: Fusions with the 2.7L EcoBoost engine
You can also flat tow all model years of the Fusion Hybrid and the Fusion Energi. If your Ford Fusion doesn’t match any of these descriptors, then you’ll have to rent or buy some extra equipment to tow it. Look for towing and flat-towing instructions in your Ford Fusion owner’s manual.
