Can you flat tow a 2022 Bronco Sport?
I’m headed out to Moab for camping and 4-wheeling with some buddies, and we’re ending up with more vehicles than we have drivers. Can we flat tow my 2022 Bronco Sport?

You and your buds are sure to have a great time in Moab. You’ll be happy to hear that your 2022 Bronco Sport can be flat towed. Some drivers did report issues with inconsistent brake assist, but that seems to be ironed out on new builds. If you run into the issue though, you can follow these steps to get around it:
- Place your Bronco Sport in neutral tow mode, open the hood, close all the doors, and wait five minutes for the vehicle to enter sleep mode.
- Locate the fuse box under the hood and remove the number 28 and 29 fuses
- Install the supplemental braking system following the instructions provided by the manufacturer
You can take your Bronco Sport out of neutral tow mode by simply following these steps in reverse order.
