Can I flat tow my Jeep Cherokee behind my RV or do I need to hook it up some other way?

You can absolutely tow your 2019 Jeep Cherokee safely behind your RV or motorhome—but only if it is a 4x4 model with a 2-speed power transfer unit. Models with the 1-speed power transfer unit must be towed on a trailer, while 2-wheel drive models can be towed with their front wheels on a dolly.
If your model is okay to be flat-towed, you’ll need to start by purchasing the following items—which are often sold together as a tow package:
  • Base plates
  • Safety cables
  • Tow bar wiring
  • Supplemental braking system
Before installing your tow package—and definitely before hooking up your vehicle—be sure to carefully read your Cherokee’s owner’s manual. It will include essential towing information, including any speed restrictions and similar guidelines.
Of course, it’s also a great idea to make sure that you have a quality
