Can you flat tow a 2018 Ford Expedition?
I have a Ford Expedition and it’s my favorite car—that’s why I want to bring it with me on vacation. My only issue is that I’ve never towed it behind my RV. Can I flat tow a 2018 Ford Expedition without any issues?

Here’s some good news for your vacation—the 2018 Ford Expedition is capable of being flat towed, regardless of the trim, drivetrain, or engine type. To set up your 2018 Ford Expedition for flat towing, follow these steps:
- Hook up your hitch based on the instructions in the owner’s manual and the directions from the hitch manufacturer.
- Make sure the car is in 2H in 4WD.
- While holding the brake, use the shifter to put the vehicle in Stay in Neutral mode.
- On the vehicle information display, go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Vehicle > Neutral Tow.
- Press and hold the OK button on the steering wheel until it shows Neutral Tow Enabled. Leave the transmission in neutral.
- Turn off the engine and release the brake pedal.
