Can you flat tow a 2015 Jeep Cherokee?
I just bought a nice used RV and I’m itching to head out on a road trip. However, I want to bring my 2015 Cherokee along so I can go on some side trips, as well as save on gas. Can I flat tow my 2015 Jeep Cherokee?

The answer is a resounding maybe. You can flat tow a 2015 Jeep, but only if it’s 4WD with a two-speed power transfer unit (PTU). On Jeep models, this type of two-speed transfer PTU is known as ActiveDrive II. With this feature, flat towing won’t put undue stress on the drivetrain and transmission.
If you have a 2WD Jeep Cherokee, the only way to tow it is with a two-wheel dolly. Just make sure that you lift the front wheels off the ground and not the back wheels, as failing to do so could damage the drivetrain.
