Can you drive Lyft with SR-22 insurance?
I have a few moving violations on my driving record, and I had to purchase SR-22 insurance as a result. I need extra money right now, and I’m thinking of applying for a side gig like driving for Lyft. Can you drive Lyft with SR-22 insurance?

While Lyft’s Driver Requirements do not specifically state that they reject drivers with
SR-22 insurance
, they conduct a DMV check on every prospective driver. Lyft may disqualify you if your driving record shows that you have any of the following:- Four or more moving violations within the last three years
- A single major violation within the last three years
- A DUI or other drug-related driving offense within the last seven years
- A major driving-related offense within the last seven years
Additionally, Lyft enrolls current drivers into DMV record continuous monitoring, so they will be alerted to any new violations while on the clock. Considering that you have SR-22 insurance, you’ll be considered a
high-risk driver
