Can you add cruise control to a Chevy Trax?
I recently purchased a Chevy Trax on a whim from one of my friends. Unfortunately, I didn’t think about whether or not it had cruise control. I come to find out that it doesn’t have it, and I’m slightly disappointed. Can I add cruise control to my Chevy Trax?

While the Chevy Trax LT comes with standard cruise control, the Chevy Trax LS does not. If you were buying a new Trax, you could just upgrade to the LT trim, but since you’re buying used you’ll have to try something else. Fortunately, you can add cruise control to a Chevy Trax by purchasing a Rostra aftermarket cruise control kit.
This kit has everything you need to add cruise control to your Trax. Installation is easy enough that novice DIYers can probably handle it. The kit includes:
- All wiring harnesses
- A drive-by-wire cruise control module
- The cruise control stick, which attaches to your steering wheel
