Can I run my RV's air conditioner while I'm driving?

We’re planning a road trip out West this summer but I’m worried that it’ll get really hot. Will I be able to run the rooftop air conditioning in my RV while I’m driving?

Yes, you’ll be able to run your
RV
’s rooftop air conditioning while you’re driving as long as the generator is on. However, your generator will use quite a bit of energy, and therefore quite a bit of fuel, so you’ll need to watch your fuel consumption if you do decide to do this.
Alternatively, you can use your
dashboard AC
, just like you would in a regular car. This should keep you cool while you drive—and even keep your passengers cool, as well!
When you take a long trip, it’s important that you’re covered with a good insurance policy. The
