Are Converse good for driving?

I love wearing Converse everywhere since they are so versatile! I was wondering if they are good for driving. I don’t want to have to carry an extra pair of shoes with me, if possible. Is it okay to drive in Converse sneakers?

I also love Converse shoes for their versatility! What’s even better, Converse are good for driving. In fact, they meet all of the requirements of great driving footwear.
Here’s what to look for in a pair of driving shoes:
  • Closed-toe — Open-toe shoes have the risk of getting caught on the pedal, which can be dangerous. Closed-toe shoes also protect your feet in case of an accident.
  • Fits snuggly — This allows you to move quickly between the pedals without issue. A loose shoe could cause you to slip from the pedal!
  • Thin soles — This lets you feel the pedals, especially the brake pedal, so that you can more accurately judge how much you’re braking and accelerating.
  • Flexible upper material — This makes it more comfortable to drive, especially when your foot has to be on the pedals for long distances.
  • Rounded heel — This allows you to easily swivel between the two pedals without having to lift up your foot. (Imagine driving in high-heels!)
  • Comfortable — Your shoes should be comfortable so that they don’t cause you strain while driving. This also means you can wear them for walking and you don’t have to bring two pairs of shoes.
Aside from having proper driving shoes, you also need the right insurance coverage to protect you and your car. With the help of
