How do I change my car headlight bulb in my Toyota Corolla?
My headlights are going out and I want to replace them. Can I do that from home? If so, how?

You can replace your headlights on your own with the right tools, especially if you are replacing your
high-beam lights
. Replacing your low-beam lights is much more complicated, so it might be easier and safer to visit an auto body shop. For a Toyota Corolla, you’ll need the following supplies for a DIY headlight repair:- A high-beam 9005 headlight bulb
- A low-beam LED headlight assembly
- A screwdriver (low-beam bulb only)
- 10mm socket (low-beam bulb only)
To replace a high-beam bulb:
- Open the hood and find the bulb. It should be behind the headlight assembly.
- Turn the bulb counterclockwise and pull, then press the tab on the electrical plug and pull the bulb out.
- Insert the replacement bulb into the electrical plug, then push it into the housing.
- Test your headlights to be sure they’re working properly.
Replacing your low-beam lights is much more complicated, as it requires replacing your entire light assembly. You’ll need to remove the grill of your car and your light assembly in order to replace them. Again, getting your low beams replaced at an auto body shop is definitely recommended.
Replacing your headlights can be time-consuming, but shopping for new insurance shouldn’t be. Just like old lightbulbs, your insurance needs to be updated and replaced every once in a while. Check out the
