Nissan Leaf

The Nissan Leaf hatchback is known for being one of the most affordable electric vehicles on the market. A base Leaf can be found for $27,400. Despite being a cheaper option, it is another one of the safest electric vehicles out there.
Nissan scored a perfect five stars in the NHTSA Overall Crash test. It scored similar scores in most NHTSA safety tests, but it did get four out of five stars in the Overall Frontal-Crash test.
While the Nissan Leaf may rank near the top in terms of safety, Consumer Reports noted that it is good but not exceptional in other categories. Range is an area where the Leaf may struggle compared to the competition. Even though the base model Nissan Leaf is affordable, it can only go 149 miles on a single charge. 

Audi e-tron

The Audi e-tron is an electric compact SUV that Consumer Reports ranks as the safest EV on the market right now. It received a perfect score in the NHTSA Overall Crash test and ranked perfect or close to perfect in other tests as well. However, while it is a safe EV, Consumer Reports was otherwise not impressed.
Consumer Reports gave the Audi e-tron an overall score of 49 out of 100, making it one of the lower-ranking EVs on the list. It ranked particularly poorly in predicted reliability. This score represents how a car will hold up over time, and this Audi earned a one out of five.
In terms of price, the Audi e-tron is a luxury vehicle, and it has a luxury price tag. The Audi e-tron can be found for a base price of $52,700, and it can be as expensive as $87,400.
