Consumer Reports favors the 2021 Ram 1500

The 2021 Ram 1500 ranks number one on Consumer Reports’ list of Top Full-Sized Pickup Trucks. Improved fuel economy, more room for passengers, and upgraded safety features are some of the selling points for the Ram 1500.
The cargo area of the Ram 1500 with a new side-hinge design makes it easier to access the bed. The interior is spacious, quiet, and offers plenty of legroom for backseat passengers. There’s also a wide range of high-tech features available including a customizable head-up display and pedestrian detection system.
This year, Consumer Reports has put the Ram 1500 at the top of its list for the best pickup truck in 2021. This truck scored highly for comfort and convenience but the overall fuel economy has a low rating along with predicted reliability. The 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 is eighth place on Consumer Reports’ list.

J.D. Power prefers the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500

J.D. Power ranks the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 in first place for the Top 10 Consumer Rated Truck of 2021. The Ram 1500 still ranks relatively well, and comes in fourth place on this list.
According to an expert review from J.D. Power, the 2021 model has multiple new camera systems to enhance the truck’s towing capability. People who own a GMC Sierra said they like the exterior styling and powertrain or engine of the truck the most. But, the interior design and trying to get in or out of the vehicle are some of their least favourite things about the truck.
The GMC Sierra had high scores across the board for reliability, driving experience, resale value, and dealership experience. Owners also liked the overall fuel economy and experience of using the vehicle’s safety systems.

GMC Sierra vs. Ram 1500: Which pickup truck is better?

If you were to ask five different people which auto manufacturer makes the best full-size pickup truck, you’d probably get five different answers. Experts and consumers might have varying opinions about what they want to see in a truck. You’ll want to test drive the trucks yourself before you make a decision.
Consumer Reports lists the 2021 Ram 1500 as the best truck of the year, and puts the 2021 GMC Sierra at the bottom of the list. J.D. Power has done the exact opposite, and ranked the GMC Sierra first, though the Ram 1500 doesn’t land quite as low on their list.
When deciding which truck is best, you have to determine which features are more important to you. Both trucks offer a variety of advanced features. According to these two review sources, the GMC Sierra is great for towing and hauling, while the Ram 1500 focuses more on safety features.
Either way, you’ll also want to consider how much it’ll cost to insure your truck. Jerry can help you save money on car insurance. The free app will compare rates from 45 top companies so you don’t have to overpay on insurance no matter what vehicle you get.
