How to enable Nissan key fob tricks
To program or reprogram a Nissan Intelligent Key:
Enter the vehicle with your key
Insert the key without starting the vehicle, then remove the key
Continue inserting and removing the key from the ignition (six to ten times) until you see the hazard lights flash twice.
The vehicle is now in program mode.
Insert the key in the ignition, and turn it without starting the vehicle.
Quickly press any button on the Nissan Intelligent Key. It should now be recognizable by your Rogue.
Exit the vehicle, stand a couple of feet away, ,and press any button on the fob. If the lights flash or the horn beeps once, your fob has been paired with your Rogue.
The Nissan Rogue’s Intelligent Key has three main functions: remote start, unlock, and lock.
To start your Nissan Rogue remotely: Press the lock button. Within the next five seconds, hold the start engine button for two seconds.
To unlock your Nissan Rogue: Press the unlock button. You should hear your Rogue unlock.
To lock your Nissan Rogue: Press the lock button. Signaling hazard lights and a single horn beep confirm a successful lock.
If your Rogue senses your key has been left inside your locked vehicle, a buzzer will sound, and the doors and trunk will unlock immediately. This ensures you’ll never lock your keys inside your car.
How to lower your Nissan Rogue’s windows from the outside
To lower your Rogues windows with the key fob:
Press and hold the unlock button
After three to five seconds, the side-view mirror lights will flash, and the front windows will begin to lower.
Continue holding the unlock button until the windows reach your desired height
Repeat these steps to roll the windows back up without entering your car.
How to access the driver memory system
Using the “Settings” window of your Nissan Rogue’s onboard control system, you can save up to two driver profiles, and create separate profiles for separate Intelligent Keys.
Using the infotainment screen, access “Settings,” then:
Adjust your seat, mirrors, and steering wheel to your preference.
This will create a driver profile that automatically adjusts when the vehicle is started with your Intelligent Key.
You can also enable “silent mode” for the lock function on your key fob through the driver memory system’s settings. Once enabled, your Rogue will no longer chirp its horn when locked.
Pro Tip: Get comfortable with your Rogue’s instruction manual through the onboard control system. Once the key is programmed, you can tweak settings through your infotainment screen.
