How old do you need to be to rent a car in Tennessee?

I’m flying into Nashville for a concert, and I thought I’d rent a car there and go to Memphis for a few days. I’m 24 years old, so I’m not sure if I’m old enough to make this happen. In Tennessee, how old do I need to be to rent a car?

You only need to be 21 years old to rent a car in
Tennessee
. Since you’re 24, you won’t have any problem renting a car.
However, most car rental companies will charge a young driver fee if you’re under 25. In addition, they may restrict what type of cars you can rent, but this is typically limited to luxury cars, sports cars, and convertibles.
Keep in mind that you don’t need to buy
rental car insurance
from the rental company if you already have personal insurance on your car. This can save you tons of money during your trip!
