The bolt pattern for any Jeep Wrangler

from 2007 to 2018, including a 2015 Jeep Wrangler, is 5x5, or 5 on 5. If you’re new to the world of bolt patterns, here’s what that means. Every bolt pattern or lug pattern can be expressed as:

# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form

A 5x5 lug pattern means that your Wrangler’s wheels have five lugs each, set in a circle five inches in diameter.

But that’s not the only measurement you’ll need to change out your wheels. It’s also important to know your Jeep’s stud size, wheel offset, center bore measurement, and, of course, torque specifications:

Factory wheel size: 17” to 18”

Stud size: 1/2x20 (1/2 inch stud with 20 threads per inch)

Offset: Medium (+20)

Center bore: 71.5 mm

Wheel tightening torque: 130 Nm

How to measure your Jeep Wrangler’s bolt pattern

The specifications above should give you enough information to swap out your Wrangler’s wheels for a fresh set—but if you want to check yourself, there’s a way to measure your 2015 Wrangler bolt pattern for yourself.

All you’ll need is a measuring tape (even a basic ruler will do!). Pick any bolt and measure from the outer edge of the lug hole to the center of the opposite bolt. Because the Wrangler has five bolts, you’ll end up in between bolts if you measure straight across, so pick either of the nearest bolts and measure to the center.

That measurement is your diameter. Put that together with the number of bolts, and you’ve got your bolt pattern!
