2015 Jeep Wrangler bolt pattern

Many
Jeep lug patterns
, including every Jeep Wrangler from 2007 to 2018, are 5x5 or “5 on 5.” Unsure what that means? Don’t worry—bolt (or “lug”) patterns are easy to understand once you know what each number represents.
The first number describes how many bolts, or lugs, your Jeep has, while the second number describes the diameter of the circle that the bolts form.
In this case, your 2016 Jeep Wrangler’s 5x5 bolt pattern means that your Wrangler’s wheels have five lugs each and they form a circle five inches in diameter.
While your bolt pattern is important, it’s not the only measurement you need to know when replacing your Jeep’s wheels. You’ll also need to become familiar with its stud size, wheel offset, center bore measurement, and torque specifications:
  • Factory wheel size: 16” to 18”
  • Stud size: 1/2x20 (1/2 inch stud with 20 threads per inch)
  • Offset: -12 to 38 mm
  • Center bore: 71.5 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: 130 Nm

How to measure your Jeep Wrangler’s bolt pattern

You should be able to replace your Wrangler’s wheels with a brand new set based on the information listed above, but if you’d like to learn how to measure your bolt pattern at home for future reference, there’s an easy way to do so.
You’ll just need a measuring tape or ruler to get started. Choose any bolt on any of your wheels and measure from the lug hole’s outside edge to the middle of the bolt opposite to it. Your Wrangler has five bolts, so there won’t be a bolt exactly opposite to the one you’re measuring from.
Instead, choose either of the bolts closest to the opposite and measure to the middle of that bolt.
The measurement from the bolt you chose to the middle of the bolt closest to the opposite is your diameter, or the second number of your bolt pattern. Count the number of bolts on your wheel for the first number. Now, you have your bolt pattern!
