2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 bolt pattern

All 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 models have a bolt pattern of 6x5.5, which can also be written as 6 on 5.5. Here’s what a bolt pattern refers to:
# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form
This means that the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has six lugs on each wheel forming a circle that has a diameter of 5.5 inches. Bear in mind that 2500 and 3500 Silverado models from 2014 have different bolt patterns than the 1500.
The lug pattern is a good place to start when preparing to buy a new set of wheels. But to properly change out your wheels, you’ll also need to know the stud size, wheel offset, center bore measurement, and torque specifications.
Here are the figures you need for a 2014 Silverado 1500:
  • Factory wheel size: 17”, 18”, 20”, or 22”
  • Stud size: M14 x 1.5 mm
  • Offset: 20 to 40 mm
  • Center bore: 78.1 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: 190 Nm

How to measure your Chevy Silverado’s bolt pattern

If you want to measure the bolt pattern yourself, the process is fairly straightforward. Here’s how to do it.
Get a measuring tape or a ruler. Use it to measure the distance from the center of one lug to the center of the one across from it. Now you have the diameter of the circle (the second number in our trusty lug pattern formula).
The number of lugs (simply count them) is the first number!
If you’re met with an odd number of lugs, you can measure the diameter by measuring from the outer edge of one bolt to the center of one of the opposite ones.
