2018 GMC Sierra 1500 bolt pattern

The bolt pattern for the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 is 6x5.5, or 6 on 5.5. Don't worry, it's not as confusing as it sounds. This expression stands for the number of bolts x the diameter of the circle they form. So, a 6x5.5 bolt pattern means five bolts forming a circle 5.5 inches wide
Before you go to the parts store, make sure you write down the correct stud size, offset, and center bore for your wheels. Stud size is measured by its diameter and thread distance, offset by the distance between the wheel's rim center and its mounted portion, and center bore by its diameter, all in millimeters. Lastly, you'll need to know how much torque to apply.
Here are all the details:
  • Factory wheel size: 17.0, 18.0, or 20.0 inches
  • Stud size: M14 x 1.5
  • Offset: 5 to 25 mm
  • Center bore: 78.1 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: 190 Nm

How to measure your GMC Sierra 1500’s bolt pattern

The Sierra 1500 uses an even number of bolts, so measuring them is quite simple. The first thing you need is a measuring tape or ruler. Measure from the center of one lug hole to the center of the lug hole on the opposite side to get the diameter measurement. Then, tack this behind the number of bolts you count on one wheel in our bolt pattern expression we explained above!
