How can I add a car to my Progressive car insurance policy?
My wife and I used to share a vehicle, but we had to purchase a second vehicle since her company recently moved offices. So I was wondering how we could add her new car to our Progressive car insurance policy?

- Call: The first way toadd a second caris to give them a call at 1-866-749-7436 and someone will assist you in making the policy change.
- Online or via the app: The second way is to log into your Progressive account online or in the app and add the vehicle yourself. Changes made to your policy by phone or online should take effect immediately.
No matter the method used, you will likely be asked to provide the following information (and may be required to send in proof):
- Vehicle Identification Number
- Primary driver information
- Primary usage of the vehicle
- Condition of the vehicle
You do have a
30-day grace period
with Progressive, during which time your second vehicle will be covered under the same terms as your existing policy. But it’s important to officially add your second car ASAP.View full answer
