How often does a 2013 Ford Edge need an oil change?

An oil change is one of the most basic services performed on a vehicle to ensure optimal engine performance. Ford recommends using synthetic motor oil and scheduling regular oil changes every 7,500 to 10,000 miles. If you’re using conventional motor oil, Ford recommends having an oil change service every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Ensuring you stay on top of oil changes for your Edge is important to prevent serious damage to your engine, making it a must for all Edge owners.

Resetting the engine oil light on your Edge is fairly simple, but if you’re having difficulties, check the sensor first to rule out a malfunctioning sensor. If it still won’t reset, you may need to take your Edge to Ford or your local mechanic for a diagnosis.
