2008 Jeep Wrangler bolt pattern

Any Jeep Wrangler between the years 2007 and 2018 will have the same bolt pattern: 5x5, also called “5 on 5.” This is a common
Jeep lug pattern
for many other models across the years.
If you’re a newbie to wheel specifics, a lug pattern expresses the following:
# of bolts x diameter of the circle they form
So a lug pattern of 5x5 means that your Jeep’s wheels have 5 bolts that form a circle with a 5-inch diameter
But if you’re looking to change out your wheels, you’ll need a bit more information. If you don’t have your 2008 Jeep Wrangler’s wheel size, stud size, wheel offset, center bore measurements, and torque on hand, here they are:
  • Factory wheel size: 16” to 18”
  • Stud size: 1/2x20 (1/2 inch stud with 20 threads per inch)
  • Offset: -12 to 38mm
  • Center bore: 71.5 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: 130 Nm

How to measure your Jeep Wrangler’s bolt pattern

The measurements above should be all you need to get your tires changed. But if you’d like to measure them yourself to be sure, you can do so easily with a tape measure or ruler
Pick any of the five bolts and measure from the outer edge of the lug hole to the center of the opposite bolt
Since the Jeep Wrangler has an odd number of bolts, you’ll land somewhere in between two bolts when you measure straight across. You can pick either of the nearest bolts and measure to the center to correct this.
The measurement you get is your diameter. Add that to the number of bolts and you’ve got yourself a lug pattern!
