The bolt pattern for a 2005 Ram 1500 is 5x5.5. This means that there are five bolts on each wheel arranged in a circle with a five-inch diameter.

Most of the time, when you see a bolt pattern, it will be expressed like this:

How to measure your Ram 1500’s bolt pattern

In case you ever forget your bolt pattern and you need to measure it for yourself, you can do so very easily—you’ll just need a tape measure or a ruler.

First, count the number of bolts. That’s your first number.

Then, measure the distance from the outer edge of one of the bolts to the very center of the wheel. Measure the distance from the center or another bolt to the very center of the wheel.

Add those two measurements together and you’ll have your diameter—which is the second number in a bolt pattern.
