Car insurance quotes
can vary based on determining factors—and not every company uses the same algorithm to calculate your rates. Comparing quotes from several providers is key to finding your best policy.

How'd we get these scores?

Jerry's experts conducted one of the largest car insurance surveys in the United States. We surveyed 15,000 policyholders, in all 50 states, over the span of 18 months. These policyholders hold insurance policies with 87 different insurance companies. We surveyed policyholders to gauge their satisfaction with their insurance carriers in: policy cost, customer service, buying and renewal experience, as well as claim experience. What other factors affect 2017 Ford Escape insurance rates?

Along with safety features and trim, auto insurance companies also consider the following factors when generating quotes:
  • The kind of car you have: Luxury vehicles and sports cars tend to pay more for car insurance based on higher theft and vandalism rates and increased risk of speeding.
  • Driver age: Teen and young drivers pay some of the highest premium costs. While rates do drop after 25, they tend to rise again once drivers turn 65 as a result of age-related factors.
  • Your driving record and claims history: Drivers with a poor driving history or insurance history will face higher than average car insurance costs compared to motorists with a clean record.
  • Location: Depending on your ZIP code or state, you could pay more for car insurance based on accident and property damage rates.

2017 Ford Escape insurance costs for young drivers

It’s no secret that
teen drivers
pay higher car rates for car insurance. Although rates will decrease once drivers turn 25, most young drivers can expect increased costs due to their higher risk for accidents and violations.

If you own a 2017 Ford Escape, you can continue to save on car insurance by following these
smart shopping strategies
  • Compare at least three quotes: Comparison shopping is the only way to find your cheapest rate. With

  • Use a broker: Shopping with an insurance broker can help you find the right coverage. Compared to insurance agents who only work with one or a handful of insurance providers, insurance brokers collaborate with several companies to bring you the best rates.
  • Bundle multiple policies:
Bundling your homeowners or renters insurance
and auto coverage can help you save up to 15% on car insurance with some providers.
  • Check for discounts: Most insurers offer
    car insurance discounts
for good driving, maintaining good grades, paying premiums in full, and even owning multiple policies. Ask your insurer about your eligibility before applying.
  • Enroll in a usage-based insurance program: Telematics programs can help you build safe driving habits while also saving on car insurance through rewards and discounts.
