In 2002, Jeep introduced the first Special Edition Grand Cherokee and then brought the trim level back in 2004 as a middle-ground between the Laredo and the Limited. The Special Edition was available as a 2WD model (the “X Package”) or a 4WD model (the “T Package”).

First of all, the 2004 Grand Cherokee was available with two desirable engine configurations. The 4.0-liter inline-six could produce up to 195
