The all-new HR-V design includes a low horizontal beltline that starts with the enlarged hood and extends over the swell of the rear fenders, lending stature to the elegant, flowing lines of the car.
An expressive grille at the front is flanked by air curtain inlets that guide air through the bumper and around the front wheels, boosting aerodynamic efficiency. The HR-V will be available in seven colors, including two exclusive shades: Nordic Forest Pearl and Urban Gray Pearl.
Similarly, the clean and athletic interior of the HR-V is a fresh take on Honda's new "simplicity and something" design direction.
Premium materials are used throughout the interior, with special attention paid to the switchgear and controls, including the click and sturdiness of knobs, stalks, and switches. The center console of the HR-V is distinctively curved and lavishly upholstered with French stitching.

Tech additions focus on ease and accessibility
The HR-V interior has also been ingeniously integrated with upgraded tech. This rendition adds a digital instrument display for the first time, as well as significantly larger standard and optional color touchscreens with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.
The redesigned touchscreen has a physical volume knob; bold, easily identifiable icons; and a streamlined navigation framework with fewer hidden menus. Other mode settings are at the bottom of the touchscreen and a 0.8-inch finger rest makes using the touchscreen easier by offering a sturdy location to rest your hand.
Performance upgrades provide a better-than-ever driving experience
The new HR-V has a much stronger structure, a fully independent rear suspension, and a larger, more responsive engine for a sportier driving experience.
A new fully independent suspension has MacPherson struts up front and a new multilink setup in the back and was made with low-friction parts to improve the ride quality overall.
Every 2023 HR-V is powered by a larger 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 158 horsepower (SAE net @ 6,500 rpm) and 138 pound-feet of torque (SAE net @ 4,200 rpm). The new engine is more powerful (adding 17 horsepower and 11 pound-feet of torque) than the 1.8-liter four-cylinder in the first-generation HR-V, while also providing enhanced drivability, refinement, and fewer emissions.
The Honda HR-V is a leader in crossover safety performance thanks to standard superior active and passive safety systems.
It incorporates Honda's Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) architecture, designed to fulfill present and future crash regulations while lowering weight. This is accomplished by using lightweight materials, such as aluminum and high-strength steel, and structural adhesives.
Other impressive driver-assistive technologies include Traffic Jam Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Information, Driver Attention Monitor, and more.
