Will my home insurance pay for damage to a truck caused by my daughter?

"My daughter, who has autism, threw a shovel at our neighbor's truck in a moment of anger. She has these bad moods from time to time and they can be unpredictable. One of the truck's front doors is now damaged. Will my home insurance take care of the repair cost for the truck?

“Damage caused by children, intentionally or not, can put parents in an unenviable (and embarrassing) position. But all parents have been there at some point! Generally, your homeowners policy would cover damage caused by your child. Still, you would want to review the terms of the policy with your agent to confirm this, and to determine how your coverage would apply in your situation.
Depending on the extent of the damage and your relationship with your neighbor, it may be beneficial to discuss handling the damages out of pocket, especially if they are minor. If your neighbor has
comprehensive coverage
on his truck, his auto policy may cover the repairs, and you could just pay for the deductible. “
