Why won’t my Chevy Equinox connect to Bluetooth?

I just got a brand new Chevy and I’m trying to use the Bluetooth, but it seems like it’s glitching. Why won’t my Chevy Equinox connect to Bluetooth?

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble with your Chevy!
When your Chevy Equinox won’t connect to your device via Bluetooth, there are a few ways you can troubleshoot the problem:
  • Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your device and that the right device is connected—you can only pair to one device at a time, so look through your Chevy’s paired device list to see which device it’s connected to
  • Make sure that Bluetooth is connected on your Chevy—the Bluetooth button should have a green light; if the light is gray, Bluetooth is not connected: click on the button to enable it
  • See if airplane mode needs to be turned off on your phone—you may also want to try deleting and reconnecting your device to your Equinox Bluetooth
  • Look at how strong your cellular signal is—if your signal is weak, your device may have issues connecting until you get a stronger signal
If you’ve tried doing all of the above and your Equinox Bluetooth is still not connecting to your device, you can always contact your local Chevy dealer or refer to your manual for further instructions.
Hopefully, though, these tips helped get you connected and you can start making those hands-free calls in your Equinox again!
