Why isn’t my Jeep JL steering box part of the recall?
I heard about a recall involving the Jeep JLsteering box. When I brought my Jeep back to the dealership they told me mine was fine and not to worry about it. Why would my Jeep not be part of the recall?

The Jeep JL steering box recall only involved 530 vehicles. The steering intermediate shaft had an incomplete seam weld causing the wheel to lose center positioning and possible crash.
If the dealership inspected your Jeep and found that your steering shaft had a complete weld, you wouldn’t need to have your Jeep repaired. Also, this defect only applies to Jeep JLs that were manufactured between January 30, 2018, and January 31, 2018.
