Why are Alfa Romeos so cheap?
I just bought an Alfa Romeo and, I’ve got to say, it’s a nice car! But I can’t understand why such a nice ride would cost so little. What makes Alfa Romeos so cheap?

are cheap in terms of luxury brands, a new base model will still cost a sizeable $40,000. But compared with brands like Ferrari and Lamborghini, Alfa Romeos go for cents on the dollar. And the biggest reason why they’re so cheapis their reputation.Over time, Alfa Romeo has developed a reputation of being unreliable. Here are a few of the biggest issues with Alfa Romeos:
- Low-quality build. Older Alfa Romeos were made with low-quality plastics and rubbers. So colors faded quickly and bits of trim would often fall off.
- Electrical problems. One of the most common complaints among Alfa Romeo owners is that the dashboard lights constantly go off. Other electrical appliances like climate control also have a habit of malfunction.
- Unpredictable issues. It’s fairly common for new Alfa owners to find problems that need repairs. While it’s unlikely those issues will leave you stranded on the road, they take time and resources to get fixed.
That said, Alfa Romeo’s reputation is generally unwarranted. While the cars do sometimes have little issues, Alfa Romeo’s are affordable luxury cars that typically drive great!
