I know that Lexus has manufacturing plants all over the world, but where do they make the Lexus GX 460?

The Lexus GX 460 is made at Toyota’s Tahara assembly plant in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
Lexus is the luxury division of parent company Toyota, and most of the brand’s vehicles are manufactured at one of five plants in the company’s home country of Japan, including:
  • Tahara Plant - Tahara, Japan
  • Yoshiwara Plant - Aichi Prefecture, Japan
  • Toyota Motor Kyushu - Fukuoka, Japan
  • Miyata Plant - Fukuoka, Japan
  • Motomachi Plant - Aichi Prefecture, Japan
Not all Lexus vehicles are assembled in Japan. Lexus also manufactures vehicles in Canada and the United States. You can easily discern where your vehicle was manufactured by looking at the vehicle identification number, or VIN. If your VIN starts with a “J”, it was made in Japan. If it starts with a 2, your Lexus was made in Canada, and if it starts with a 1, 4, or 5, it was made in America.
Lexus GX 460 insurance costs
